Góða Ólavsøku 🇫🇴 to those who celebrate!
Today is Ólavsøka (Saint Olaf's wake), the day of the patron saint of the Faroe Islands, king Olaf II of Norway. It's a big celebration up there.
I don't have any ties to the islands, but I know a few from the linguistics community in Copenhagen, and I have studied the language a bit and visited a couple of times.

#WaterfallWednesday takes #PhotoOfTheDay to the Faroe Islands and Cape Enniberg on Viðoy.
The aim of the small boat cruise from Hvannasund was to visit the bird colonies of Cape Enniberg (a 754 metre vertical sea cliff) but when there are sea caves why not also explore them too. Inside this one there were a couple of waterfalls cascading down the sides of the cave.

A bit off the beaten track for today's photo, the island of Koltur in the Faroe Islands.
This is the view from near Miðvágur on Vágar. Many of the islands seem to have their own security blanket clouds and Koltur's is a study in aerodynamics.
