Remarkable #starwars exhibition in a guy's back garden in #Forres. He makes a lot of the stuff himself and has open days every now and then that raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Support. Next one is Sept 2nd if you are passing by.

The amazing Dallas Dhu preserved distillery south of Forres. The distillery was built in 1898-9 and closed in 1983. It reopened as a visitor attraction in 1988 and gives an excellent insight into the distiller’s art. More pics and info: https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/forres/dallasdhu/index.html

And a string of 90 degree days, which brings on the thunderstorms. Some beaches un swimmable because of #stormwater #runoff carrying sediment, #nitrogen, #phosphorus, more. Here in the Midatlantic, we have some ideas to help. #chesapeakeconservationlandscapingcouncil. Latitudes closer to the poles have bigger rises in temps. #climatechange

Beautiful Brodie Castle near Forres in Moray, seen on an absolutely perfect day. Parts of the structure may date back to the 1100s, though the earliest positively identifiable date for any standing section of the castle is 1567. Today, we walked by these eye-catching #Italianate farm buildings at #Altyre near #Forres – they were constructed in the 1830’s, and have now been renovated as a #CreativeCampus for #GlasgowSchoolofArt - the friendly robin is at nearby #BlairsLoch ... 😀
