FOSS top down shooter "Empty Clip" released recently. The code is licensed using GPLV3.0. The game was made using SDL. There is a ten level campaign; fifteen different weapons; character customization and more. The game is available on Itch.io; the AUR; and as a Flatpak on Flathub.

Duelyst, a deckbuilding strategy game that closed down awhile ago (it was mainly online PvP), has surprisingly gone open source!

I'm sure there are a number of caveats to this, as is often the case with formerly closed source games going open, but it's still cool on their part.
