Owncast is not for video conferencing or any use case where multiple people are wanting to see video of each other. It’s also not a good choice if you have tight real-time requirements as HLS video has inherent delays.

We are temporarily moving the website back to Netlify since #Fosshost is shutting down. It may be intermittently available until DNS propagates and a new TLS certificate is provisioned. We know some of you had issues due to IP blocks on some of their shared IPs in the past, and will try to move it somewhere with a dedicated IP again as soon as possible. We are already talking to a few people, and if you know of anyone who would be interested in sponsoring a small VPS, we'd love to chat!

@coopcloud you've probably got a handle on the co-op hosting options out there better than we do; now that #Fosshost is shutting down are you aware of any cooperative alternatives, maybe running your stack (but really anything will do)? Paid or free, we're trying to raise funds now for an alternative.
