Momma Cat Gracie let me pet her today, AND she came out of hiding to nurse her babies & supervise playtime tonight

Some of the babies were feeling bold this evening and decided to explore the living room. Dante was feeling extra bold and tried to play wrestle with my 70lb dog.

All of the babies seem used to people now, except for Pumpkin Spicy, who's the shiest and most elusive of the bunch.

An update on Bella, our #fostercat. She continues to improve from her flea bite allergy issues and we are going to start working on finding her a home with a bit more focus as she does not get along with some of our other kitties (though she adores her people) So if any of you all in #Georgia or #Florida would be willing to adopt this lady into a single indoor pet family let me know!

Cheddar Puff didn't like me closing the doors. My latest foster kitten was losing weight at the adoption center, so I've been charged with solving his problems. Still have one kitty left. She kind of fell through the cracks, as neither my guy nor the other foster group said she was theirs, so of course we took her in. A cute little tortoiseshell kitty, already complete with torti-tude. She hisses at you but then relents and is a purring machine when you pick her up for petting. Going to work on her attitude until she finds a real foster. But, as you can see, she is adorable:

Foster kitty Joillyn has had an eventful week! She had a vet checkup where a fractured jaw was discovered, and the next day travelled to a specialist to have interdental wiring performed. She’s back home, relaxing, eating well, and enjoying her pain meds. Kudos to Toronto Cat Rescue for supporting her health. #caturday #fostercat

They hissed at me today! Love this stage where teenies hiss oh so ferociously 🤣 at anything that doesn’t smell like their mom.

3.5 days old and now weighing in at 131-181 grams.

You guys?!?! I think we might meet #TheYADetectiveKittens tonight. Ms Trixie tipped over the soft bed & is on her back, hind legs up & periodically appears to clench/push. Purring (cats don’t just do that when happy but also when in pain & even when dying) and accepted a few pets.

Two of my #FosterCat four have a forever home if I can get them there.

When I search, I find all kind of services that will #Transport my #Pet and I have no idea how to choose one.

Many years ago, I sent a pet by air. When I looked into that, I got conflicting information. Searching airline websites, I find embargoes from 2020 "until further notice" and also checklists.

Can anyone help with this? I'm in TX and they are in Maryland.

She’s about 2 yo according to the shelter

She’s a social eater

She’s very vocal & VERY loud when she wants something

She’s friendly, until she’s not. Reminds me of affectionate but temperamental #SadieTheCat. I can work with this. Just means slowing WAY down to watch for signs she’s losing patience.

New #fostercat is scared. 😓 He will settle in soon enough. It's weird how cats always hide in the litterbox when they're scared. I used to put a litterbox with litter and then an identical box next to it with a blanket in their pens. They ALWAYS hid in the one with litter so I eventually gave up. 😅 This guy will have a few days in this kitty condo to get settled, then Friday his quarantine is up and he will have free range of the house as long as he gets along with our kitty.
