We are fostering a mom and 4 puppies for a long weekend. Puppies are 4ish weeks old. Very cute at this stage. Mom is a bit on the mean side even taking in account of the babies. Can't say i’m having a good time with her.

Fosters Bella and Little Guy cuddled together napping last week. One of the last photos I have of them. They went back to the shelter yesterday. Just about ready for adoption. Little Guy was just a little puff ball that I could hold in my palm when they came.
It's so difficult when the fosters go back. I cant help but become deeply attached to them. Words escape me but the tears are flowing. #sad

Another wonderful experience fostering kittens! Tiger, Tormy, and Topaz were 2.5 weeks old when they were rescued during a rainstorm and given to us. After 65 days that feel like way more (they grew 5x in size!) they are off to their forever homes. Bon voyage, we will miss you! #cats #kittens #fostering

One of my best friends of 17 years has been providing a stable home for boys and teens for over 7 years now.

He’s raising money to buy land and build a home, as Guatemala doesn’t have many safe, stable foster homes, and the ever-increasing rent really throws a wrench in stability, as they have to move every couple of years to a more affordable place.

Helping our foster son to emotionally decompress after a night in respite care. Sometimes the comedown for him makes me question whether we’re right to use respite care but being a full time foster carer for an emotionally vulnerable child takes it’s toll. Respite helps us to help him.

#Cat #Mastodon help needed please. My daughter is #fostering a cat, her first time. She’s had him 2 weeks. Unfortunately, he has a LOT of health concerns. #Entropion & chronic #rhinitis. He had eye #surgery a week ago & still looks/feels poorly. At his checkup today, they put him on oral #antibiotics & told her he has an #URI & #stomatitis. When his stitches come out, they’ll put him on #steroids for his mouth. He hates getting his meds (who doesn’t?) but doesn’t hold a grudge. Any suggestions?
