Coolest thing happened today. I was thinking about seeing #singersongwriter #MaryGauthier play a show tomorrow & who walks into the building I work in but Mary Gauthier! She wrote a terrific album called The Foundling about her experience as an #adoptee. I'm an adoptee, too. I was hoping to have the chance to talk to her after the show but I got to swap stories with her today! She was lovely, put me on the guest list, & I gave her a tour of my bldg.

@MarthaAnne I hear you on this - so much "life laundry" often causes us to pause our personal research (these days I spend all of my #research time with other people's ancestors in my pro life, and my own ancestors are waiting patiently by!). I hope your #adoptee and #foundling research blossoms once you're able to sit with it in due course.
