I haven't regularly used a pen case in years. I have a double Pelikan leather case that I used with my M800 and MC120, but I no longer use those #fountainpens, haven't touched them in years. The MC120 leaks past the piston, sadly, but the M800 works fine. I just prefer the TWSBI ECOs I now use for most things. The M800, MC120, and the case are all pre-Reunification; I've had them for over 30 years.

I would use the MC120, if I could get it repaired, but I'm not sure that model is repairable.

I got this $9 Daimay leather pen case from Amazon. It technically holds up to three pens, but because it's built as a flat envelope, you have to stretch it out to get it to really hold three #fountainpens, and even then, it's a tight fit, and the pens might scratch each other. Two pens is a better idea for the larger size, one pen for the smaller size. Of the three pens I am currently using every day, one gets attached to my Filofax, the other two will live in this. For $9, it's reasonably good.

In light of a potential #calligraphy commission that has landed in my inbox, I've pulled out my pens to see if, after several years of focusing on Islamic geometric art I stil remember how to do letters.

Here's the result! It came from a 'quotes.txt' document I compiled during the Trump years; you can perhaps see the influence. Words from Seanan McGuire; lettering done with a Pilot Parallel Pen; ink is KWZ Honey.

You know what? I’m gonna give this a try even though I hold my pens like a gremlin. Cerebellar degeneration due to FHM means I eventually won’t be able to write much by hand, so I’m gonna enjoy it to its fullest while I can. #FountainPens
