Twintania took two tries. On the 2nd, I got through with the assassin dagger. Onto the... hello, Ramuh. Onto the final zone. I didn't bother with trying to use the Thief Knife to steal the Genji shield from Gilgamesh, nor did I open any of the chests. I just wanted to get to Necrophobe, destroy his barrier and get the save point. I did try for the Genji armor, but not getting it wasn't a loss.

Azulmagia's level 2 old was reflected back at him. Level 5 death was next, but the timing wasn't right (would have been funny). Catastrophe was the usual rushdown, but with the white mage applying shell before Earth Shaker, and a cast of holy after. !Dualcast toad after Halicarnassus' Ribbit was useful this time (the toad spell isn't guaranteed to reverse the status on allies in battle). All that's left of the Interdimensional Castle is Twintania.

While I don't have a reason to collect summons, I did want gil, so I went up Phoenix Tower. The coral rings I stole and bought would have been a help against Leviathan, but I really just wanted the Enhancer and Rune Blade from Istory Falls. Onto the Rift. Calofisteri is easy enough with !Dualcast and silence. Apanda, I just hit with the Brave Blade and used shell and dispel against its drain and protect counters. No fire needed.

Fork Tower went very smoothly with this well-balanced party. Between the Sage's Staff, Excalibur, and Holy there wasn't much reason not to go into Great Sea Trench for the Kaiser Knuckles to make Faris slightly better at attacking (when I don't need Hermes Sandals). The recharge spot is right there, so why not use the Magic Lamp to do the boss fight the easy way? I did spend too much MP healing from the damage tiles, at first.

Finally getting the Brave Blade from Moore means I can do things like attack despite Melusine's 90 defense. Tot Aevis still have far too much HP, though, and to keep the Brave Blade's power I can't run from those encounters. Still, I took out Wendigo in about 8 hits. I learned !Dualcast during Forest of Moore. That and the Thief Knife let me steal two additional Mirage Vests. Oh, and I found every piano, just because I can.

I did not stop to try to get Staff of Light rare drops in Ghido's Cave. The Forest of Moore continues to have a very, very high encounter rate, but being so close to earning the Brave Blade motivated me to push on. Also, you get some good equipment for a knight and a white mage. I also got two Judgement staves to drop going through Castle Exdeath and somehow no encounters with Blue Dragons. Onward, to the final world.

After watching the Dr. Mario segment of Flame Fatales, I'm reminded once again of how much Pao/Tent Island looks like Chill. Abductor and the first two Gilgamesh fights went fine with my level 23 party.

I fought random battles for dropped elixirs and enough money for a flame ring. I fought the 5x Wild Nakk encounter to buy spare elemental rods (they're not available to buy for a while) and a second flame ring. This meant only one character needed to be healed after Manticore's frost. Having two character's with white magic made it easy to Confuse-A-Cat into getting float status for Titan, but I had to put an Elven Mantle on the Monk during that.

I owe the Fiesta 7 quicksave glitches worth of donations after getting the Elven Mantle. I got a spare flame rod from Walse Tower, so I trade it for Shiva's frost rod. The whip and healing staff made it pretty easy to get Lenna's job from Garula.

If anyone else is considering participating in the #FourJobFiesta using #FinalFantasyVAdvance, that version has noticeable slowdown at two points, but one of them is the final boss fight. If you would prefer not to have that, you can try this IPS patch which fixes it by changing the way the game handles sound.
