All reconnecting Mvskoke should know about Council Oak in Tvlse.

In the 1830 the Council Oak tree was selected to place the coals and ash from the sacred fires brought from the ancestral lands during removal, i.e. The Trail of Tears.

One the greatest differences between the Mvskoke and invading colonizers was that Mvskoke society (like most Natives) was matrilineal.

Patrilineal/patriarchal colonizers never quite figured out they were dealing with the wrong people and a better way, or if they knew, forced their less than effective arrogance anyway.
