I’ve been thinking about this #FoxNewsDominion lawsuit. Don’t get me wrong: I think it’s an institution steeped in greed and malice. But they’re not the ultimate evil here (though definitely an evil). It’s their viewers. Those texts make clear if they weren’t going to get their daily dose of pure uncut racism, xenophobia, misogyny, grievances, and autocracy, they were going to another dealer. Take #fox and they’ll still be there. #foxnews

Think of the Fox News audience as a flywheel. Once Trump spun them up, the audience carried the momentum.. Fox News anchors and management were unwilling to apply any brakes. In fact, they chose to spin them up even faster
