Just one of these nerdy questions about #selfhost I want to setup a docker-compose.yml with my own combination. #nextcloud with #fpm #redis and #postgresql but I don't want integrated proxy. I use a #caddy proxy installed through repo and not as a container, I don't want to mess up my other containers with a second proxy.

Web searches only provide full solutions or combinations with mariaDB or without redis. Rewriting these end up with not working states and even the logs don't show errors.

Two small #fpm projects using #cairo #fortran bindings to explore two #recursive algorithms and see what #SVG vector drawing can bring:

I had a sub-optimal (imho) setup for the three #WordPress sites that I run using #docker, where each site had its own #fpm and #nginx containers, with a LinuxServer.io swag container fronting all the sites on that server. I had done this to keep sites as isolated as possible and use the outermost web server as a dumb reverse proxy. I tweaked the setup today to use a single nginx instance for the WordPress sites. Next, I’ll try to consolidate the fpm containers and use separate pools.

That was a big headache to update PHP5 to PHP7. And it was as always so simple :-(

Changing this in virtual hosts:

fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php/php7.1-fpm.sock;

And (the biggest headache, but the simplest solution):

apt-get install php7.1-mbstring

(because #Hubzilla had big problems).

But it works. Now let's see of the performance will improve.
