Nobody cares but my hobby just got so much cooler.
New video transmitters and cameras are out for my FPV video system of choice, complete with new shielding to prevent GPS interference, a gyroscope built into the cameras to give an option to stabilise the footage in post, a 4:3 sensor, and one of the cameras is starlight-capable.
I can finally build my ultralight endurance GPS quad, and a cloud surfer, and a tiny freestyler that doesn't need a GoPro. This is huge.

The #FAA just announced that starting today, you are able to get LAANC authorization for recreational #drone operations at night.

DJI makes really cool products, for sure, and the FPV drone is definitely a good one. But as I dove into the FPV tech and community and learned more about the "true FPV drones", it became clear that if I wanted to go further and learn how to do what the "cool kids" were doing out there with their FPV quads, I would need something different, something that wouldn't break in the first real crash, and wouldn't cost me a lot of money and time to fix.

So, this was how my FPV drones hobby (or quadcopters to be more specific) started about an year ago, in January 2022. It was winter, and it would take a few months before my first flight.

This was my first FPV drone (I bought a DJI Mini 2 not too long before this one), and for a while I wouldn't dare to fly it in "full manual" (or Acro[batic]) mode.
