An urban road gin in #Nottingham City within the Notts County Council boundary.
Carlton, Netherfield, Colwick, Burton Joyce and Nottingham are all to the right - all with accurate distance provided.
You CAN also get to Burton Joyce via Gedling by turning left!
The sign pointing to Mapperley is correct with the distance, but leaves out the huge hill. It's 1 and 1/2 miles, but feels like 5 if you are #cycling

One for all the recent followers of the #fractionalAccuracyInRoadSignDistances hashtag.
This is between East Bridgeford and Kneeton near #Nottingham
By bike the quickest way to Nottingham is following the sign to East Bridgeford.
The direction for Nottingham here is via the new A46, that is no fun for bikes.

I has plenty of time to appreciate the fractional accuracy on this road sign while waiting to cross the A614.

Road Ride in Notts, wonderful signpost in Epperston.
I wonder how many people have appreciated the fractional distances to Ollerton and Doncaster from here?
Hmm 39 AND 1/2. I'll need more jelly babies 😃. On rolling roads too.
Also my 2011 Basso, set up for Racing.

The Society for the Appreciation of Fractional Accuracy in roadsigns has a recent addition to the hall of fame at the end of my street.
The 1/4 mile accuracy is most appreciated by cyclists and pedestrians, and is a 'lesser seen' improvement over the more standard 1/2 miler.
Keep em peeled for 1/3s, and post your own examples!
