TIL ... how to type arbitrary #fractions like ⁴⁹³⁄₂₃ . That's superscript 4, superscript 9, superscript 3, fraction slash, subscript 2, subscript 3. I'd *like* to be able to add that to my #ComposeKey mappings so I could type `Compose f r a c $numerator / $denominator` for any numerator and denominator and have it Just Work, but unfortunately I don't think that's possible in a #MacOS #KeyboardMapping. If anyone knows how to get that into here https://github.com/DrHyde/configurations/blob/master/karabiner/DefaultKeyBinding.dict do please let me know!

Nearly all #music is a function of two #numbers: ‘2’ and ‘3’. Given that, what difference is there, if any, between 3/4 time and 6/8 time? Clue: the answer is not straightforward and concerns the values of the #denominators (that is the lower numbers of the fractions or, in musical context, the note values, eg. quaver, crotchet, &c.). #fractions #bars #measures.

If you make fractions ⁷/₁₆ or use special characters © ® etc. save time by creating keyboard replacement shortcuts.

I make a full set of superscript and subscript number shortcuts using (ss0) thru (ss9) and subscript using (su0) thru (su9) as trigger text.
