@Irishphilosophy ooh thank you for posting about Frances Power Cobbe.

She lived with another woman for 32 years, attended the local #Unitarian church, edited the collected works of Theodore Parker in 12 volumes, and was a co-founder of the British Union Against Vivisection. There’s a plaque to her memory at Harris Manchester College, Oxford (in the corridor between the chapel and the library).
