There can be no doubt that Frank Thorne looms large in my mind as a huge influence. And just think... he didn't even draw Red Sonja until he was like 45 or something.
Sports pros have to contend with their age quite soon. But artists can potentially keep drawing until they are old as chewed up shoe leather. I hope I can keep drawing until I die.

Frank Thorne had enough doing Red Sonja for Marvel, so he did his own. It's called Ghita of Alizarr and it's NSFW very much, mind you. And way better and funnier than anything with the so-called She-Devil with a sword, as this great conversation about buttocks clearly demonstrates.
