Sad to hear Frederic Forrest has passed. The versatile Texas-born actor worked memorably for Francis Coppola, Jack Nicholson, Dario Argento, Abel Ferrara, Wim Wenders and, as Falling Down's Nazi shopkeeper, Joel Schumacher. #TheRose Oscar and Golden Globe nominated actor #FredericForrest has died at 86. His 'The Rose' co-star #BetteMidler shared the news on social media. After moving from Texas to New York and appearing on TV (an uncredited role on #DarkShadows) and in #OffBroadway productions, Forrest headed west and scored a role in 1972's 'When Legends Die', earning a Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. 1/2
