Besides that, recognizable slug names can help. #Fredericksburg could be a lot of places, but #FXBG is in Virginia. People also append VA to hashtags to disambiguate as necessary anyway because this is a shortcoming intrinsic to hashtags.

We’re talking about “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”. Yesterday I watched a Youtube video where a German living in California visited Fredericksburg, apparently labeled the most German town in Texas.
We saw all the Bavarian stereotypes of lederhosen, dirndl, beer kegs, and we saw restaurants with German names an stereotype Bavarian food mostly.

I visited Virginia Beach over this weekend, and had to drive through #Fredericksburg, VA—the first time in over ten years. I avoid this stretch of the #I95 like the plague, due to its constant #TrafficJam.

But in 2021, VDOT implemented variable speed limit along this stretch: the speed limit adjusts between 30 and 70 mph, depending on traffic density. This little scheme has converted stop-and-go traffic jams with no-stop but slow-go traffic flow. This is less harmful to the travellers, the cars, and the environment. I applaud my neighbours to the south.
