Ordinary man, Roger Torraway, receives a modified body, with fish-like gills for breathing and (if I remember well) wings for flying in #Martian atmosphere. Sent to #Mars, he’s able to survive without a space suit, nor anything else…

I'm a sci-fi fan but my tastes are strictly old school. I don't read anything written since the 90s. And not much written since the 60s, apart from some of the cyberpunk writers.

One of the first sci-fi novels I read was Arthur C. Clarke's The City and the Stars and I still regard it as one of the half dozen best sci-fi novels of all time.

Happy to report that all of the #FrederikPohl books I 'found' have now been imported into #Calibre Including Gateway and the rest of the Heechee series. So that around another 40 or so books added to the pile, once they've been sync'd with #LuciferMorningstar and #DeepThought and I have finished reading any number of other books that I've not gotten around to as yet (;*

Off to bed, I'll add the #FrederikPohl ebooks to my #Calibre collection tomorrow, can't be bothered tonight.
