Just watched 'Won't You Be My Neighbor' on #Netflix. Finally something worthwhile! #FredRogers was a decent human being who cared for children (and not in a creepy way, get your mind out of the gutter). Crazy, but I came to tears a few times (no small feat). It brought back sone painful memories of how scary it was growing up in the 60s and 70s. He wasn't all sweet and goody goody, but genuine. This messed up world and these bizarro times could sure use another Mr. Rogers.

Just from the prologue to Fred Rogers’ biography I learned:
- He became a vegetarian in the 1970s, saying he couldn’t eat anything that had a mother.
- He was born into a wealthy family and never wanted for money, but you’d never know it. He lived humbly. He drove a Chevrolet and then an old Honda. The older he got, the more modestly he and his wife lived.
- He resisted efforts to monetize his show and refused to advertise directly to children.
