I have about 27,780 miles on my VW ID.4 as of today. I’ve had it for 1 year and 8 months. My car came with 3 years of free DC fast charging with Electrify America. I have charged with them 192 times and saved what would have cost me $2,504 otherwise.

The number of kWh I have gotten equates to around 21,162 miles worth of fuel. The rest of the charging would have been done at home. That’s 6,618 miles, divided by my max range of 250 miles gives me 26.5 full charge at home. My battery holds 77kWh multiplied by 26.5 is 2040.5kWh. My electricity at its most expensive is .11/kWh. So for 6,618 miles I paid $224.46.
If I had charged at home for all 27,780 miles it would have cost me $941.19

*I never DC fast charge for longer than I need to & only to 100% if necessary.
