So happy with my hobby . I was teaching the whole day, but I'm getting bored with it. The students love my class, but it's so basic.

Yet to stop teaching this class would mean a lot less income... so I decided today to bring my knitting along... and it worked! I was happy, could be more attentive to the students AND I finished a hat for my toddler!

One of the 'problems' of research is that deadlines for finishing project A with a paper often coincide with handing in a proposal for project C while you are to present a draft of project B. Plus a financial report for an organisation I'm volunteering for.

It requires longterm .

Even now, as I'm a full-time parent while freelancing as an academic researcher.

None of these projects are for pay, btw. Voluntary academic here. (Open for positions.)

Going to start a philosophical company, selling essential objects.

Essential oils seems very lucrative.
But what about essential being? Essential water? Essential essence?

Really enjoying working on, thinking on, a paper applying object oriented ontology to a specific bio-science technological phenomenon, together with a friend who happens to be a bio-scientist.

Just a pity I don't get paid for it and she does...
Anyone a vacancy for a philosopher to come do interesting (i.e. their own) projects?

Today my 4-month old finally decided it was okay to drink from a bottle! Hurray!

This means I can now go and teach without having to always bring her with me. She can stay with her father, which means I may not be as exhausted after a day of teaching! Yay!
