The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting is offering grants to help local U.S. newsrooms cover underreported stories that affect their communities and are essential to democracy. The deadline is rolling, and there is no budget range specified; projects of any scope and size will be considered. One thing that I think tools like this should consider doing is figuring out ways to make it a one-stop shop for #freelancers. I could see a tool like this pulling from relations, connecting to Stripe, and spitting out a PDF invoice that looks good.

Freelancers get bogged down by this stuff, and all the FOSS options are insanely complicated. (Not to pick on them, but Invoice Ninja is a mess.) Lotta potential there to simplify.

The Pulitzer Center seeks applications from #journalists (staff and #freelancers) who want to report stories as part of Connected Coastlines, a nationwide #climate reporting initiative in U.S. coastal states.
