I've said it once and I'll say it again: The ALPS Mountaineering Lynx 1 person tent has the best value of any one person tent I've ever heard of. Its $100 and has been the same price for nearly a decade. I've also been using mine for nearly a decade in 4 seasons without a single issue ever. Hard rain, blizzards, camping on uneven surfaces, rocks, sticks, mud. Just doesn't fail.
