My biggest concern with new platforms is the potential for hate speech to propagate, leading to horrific crimes against vulnerable groups. Open and unmoderated platforms present a greater risk for the spread of misinformation and hate speech. But then again, Facebook allowed for hate speech against the Rohingya in Myanmar to propagate. Genocide was the outcome. Content moderation is key.
