@thejenniwren @SrRochardBunson Despite hosting the United Nations on U.S. soil, the United States will not be a fully ethically legitimized member of the United Nations as long as it upholds all the reservations it made relating to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights treaty, tolerating human rights violations within its borders, including tolerating *hate speech*.
American "exceptionalism" cannot seriously & credibly mean condoning human rights violations, that the U.S. is quick to condemn, when referring to acts committed beyond its own borders.

I am in complete agreement with you! Moreover, the same logic is applicable to the 2nd Amendment’s right to bear arms. When our founding fathers penned the Bill of Rights they couldn’t foresee the existence of weapons other than single shot muskets or technology that enables the increase of hate. How do we change it?
