I learned the only two issues I might have with Christiandom are self-debasement and escapism. That is if I can avoid the holy roller enlightened Christian.

Like the little girl said to her television. I'm here. After all this travel and worry Keene kind of snuck up on me.

I'm in Keene, NH. I landed about seven, pm, EDT. I hope to change my fates, here, and maybe live another decade, answer a couple of dreams, finally grow up.

Now what? I'm here. I don't know anybody, and am not sure where to start. Maybe dawn will answer that, Frejya be kind.

Just days ago I asked, "how do I navigate Pennsylvania and New York unscathed?" Tonight I'm in Kanona, NY, settling in for some rest. 🎵 One more day 🎶 I think. New Jursey might be a bigger monster, simply because he's so small and terrified.

Even gas and masking hasn't changed so much since I left, well Hemet.

I spent a little time at Chautauqua Lake rest stop, took some pictures, felt the grass under my feet. I think it sour that Eastbound I-86 gets to rest and westbound doesn't. I'm wanting to get past New York because of the government. I also want to, um, purge the stress I've built up in California so it doesn't get involved with this new fate.

I'm so accustomed to nahuatl pronunciation I'm sure to make some errors, here. Will they appreciate the joke that 'punk is Algonquin for *worthless piece of ash*'?

Brunswick, OH, and they have a K-Mart. Oh, the legasies I've seen. An A&W in Arizona, a dozen Big Boys in Indiana, and now this. I've had blinkers on.

Lake Erie to the north and the more terrifying aspect of this trip is yet to come, Pennsylvania and New York. Or, maybe the experience won't be so bad. Despite the propaganda masking has mostly been a personal choice. If I stick to the more rural highways I might do quite well.

I'm still unsure of my prospects on this blind gamble. Starting out, alone, made some changes to my fates. Will things be better in a world unfettered by selfless hostilities? Frejya, Brilliant mother and warrior, a little light is what I want, here.

I've often joked that the only time I've been across the Mississippi is when my airplane circled the St Louis Airport 8n '80. Well, tonight I'm in Columbus, OH.

Evolution, growth happens with a challenge or a gamble. This trip is both. I've spent the last few years running away from California, or was it my isolation? While I've heard good things about Keene, NH, and am laying what little hope I have left on this venture, I'm still a horse running away from trouble.

Gas prices have ranged from the upper 2s and lower 3s. Commerce looks lively, though I have little experience with these roads to really know. Maybe it's my route, choosingone that avoids tolls and fairies, I've seen no Greyhounds or AmTracks.

Tonto, Ill, just south of Springfield.
The first step on this trip was to visit the Metropolitan Community Church of All Souls, in Palm Springs, CA. No, I no longer make use of the Christian label and, while I won't look for a fight, I won't pretend, either. I just wanted to get in touch with something, might help.

This particular congregation has a rich, Anglican flavor, with the Christ on the cross and in his mother's arms. I suspect the minister was the youngest soul there. The congregation in Santa Ana, CA, averaged half that.

Before joining them for coffee, I went to her altar, lit a candle, and said a prayer to Frejya, the Brilliant. Yes, yes, I know that is the Holy Virgin goddess with her fangs pulled and her claws trimmed tight. That's okay. For the moment, that was the most terrifying goddess of Northern myth, and this is my truth.

I've been detoured and turned around, and I've felt lost and frustrated, my full bladder or the tank empty making things worst. Yet, here I am, near Springfield, Ill, and the map tells me I'm doing fine, just fine. The I-72 is just around the corner and coffee just yards away.

Frau Frejya, thank you, for the help, and the challenges. If it's mine to give, it's yours to have.

Newton, KA, and I wake up to fog and no WiFi.

Somehow got on the YayDarn route and passed through Prescot, KA. It's not as broken down as some rusted towns I've passed through. The turn of the 19th century atmosphere infuses the old town and her neighborhoods. And I'm such a bad boy.

I stopped long enough to review the map, get my bearings, and not find a WiFi signal. About the time I get back on the IS-50 I'm kicking myself in the cockles of my heart.

See, I've invested in this wonderful, Canon Rebel, DSLR camera, and it sits on top of my groceries ready to use. And I didn't. ¡Spit! Why am I in such a hurry? Even if New Hampshire susceeds, or gets washed away, it won't be for a few years. I might die of old age before that happens.

Maybe California has me spoiled. I think Sun City, CA, has more people in it than some of these counties. So, of course there'd be WiFi at every courner, and a Taco Bell (thanks for the WiFi) every ten blocks.

I expect to be in Missouri tonight.

Gas is a little more expensive than it was in Texas, and masking seems like it's a personal preference. And 'help wanted' notices are everywhere.
