Auch ein extra Lesegerät _mit Alarm_ nutzt meines Wissens nach BT.
NFC wird bei den L. zum Koppeln genutzt und ggf. um den momentanen Stand durch “Scannen” (draufhalten auf den Sensor) auszulesen. “Near” eben.
Damit ist natürlich keine sinnvolle Alarmierung möglich, dafür wird BT genutzt.
Apps sollten eigentlich bei unterbrochener Verbindung alarmieren, das L. tut das nach 20 Min.

Yet another example of the pernicious effects of non-free software. Sure, we could mandate that such medical devices be free-as-in-freedom from the get-go. But that would interfere with the fReE mARkeT. Profit comes first, last, and only.

Just got a #simpatch and a couple FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor covers, thanks to @Nerb, who not only made the 3D print design files, but also printed these and mailed them to me :D Many thanks :)
Between Skin-Tac liquid adhesive, these covers, and the simpatch, I'm hoping the next sensor can withstand two weeks worth of #amazon warehouse work.
Now I just gotta figure out why the Android reader app isn't working on *any* of the three #android devices I have at my disposal presently.
