It took me so long to find the language: Belief Systems

Like many people, I was mired in the details of beliefs like Atheism, Christianity, and Buddhism, but when you approach those beliefs from the overarching concept
of a system and the methods used to maintain that system, you can see the underlying similarities, the methods of control.

Our minds are the only thing that are truly our own. We should be free to explore all of the ideas in the world.

But religion has been a majoritarian cultural baseline. Sure, is abused to justify hate, but also used to shame haters. What replaces that common(ish) set of tropes?
