A HOMELESS man has told of surviving the freezing cold in Southampton as he marked his 21st birthday on the streets.

The UK #energy system is broken. We need a real plan to bring it into the 21st century – because keeping warm in winter shouldn’t cost the earth. We need the UK Government to:

1) Embark on a mass homes upgrade: launching a new, properly-funded programme of home upgrades and #insulation across the UK to bring down bills and prevent energy #waste.
2) Unleash our homegrown energy potential: more than triple the amount of #renewable energy in the UK by 2030, including #wind and #solar generated in harmony with nature, so that we can permanently lower bills.
3) Free us from expensive, polluting oil and gas: stop approving new oil and gas fields so that we can end our dependence on volatile fossil fuels.
