Saying It
- One of mine, from way back
You can say it with flowers,
say it with music.
You can dance it,
mime it,
swing it from a chandelier with a feather duster up your arse, whistling ‘Dixie’.
You can pout it,
spit it
and whisper it.
You can deliver it with a look,
suggest it as a possibility
but you can’t, plainly,
say it.
