@sheogorath It's easier for people with bad eyesight if there's a light in the fridge.

Also nicer for the food to live in enlightenment. Some say that the dark ages ended when the transition to the SI system was completed, but I think it was when the fridge light was introduced. It's literally in the name 'enlightenment'
