A couple of days ago I just so happened to go into my living room at just the right time and found this little one hopping across the floor.
Luckily I managed to scoop him up before either one of our two cats saw him. But when my wife and I tried to get a pic of him outside, he hopped off my hand.
I was able to get him again and put him near one of a few little dishes of water my wife puts out every morning for all the critters in our yard.
Meet Hoppy.

Look who's found the mini pond I put in last winter!
The pond is just a cement tub (160 liters, 80cm deep), but it adds so much to a garden.
The rainy weather must have made it easy for this little frog to find it. He's only about 5cm tall I think, must have hiked quite a way.
A great addition to my tiny ecosystem.

#frogstodon #frogs #FroggyTales about 5 years ago we rescued sone Pacific Choral Tree frogs from a nearby ditch before it dried up and since then they and their progeny have courted, mated & left their spawn in our 18" bowl. I heard them calling & found 3 in the bowl. 2 in an 'embrace' Heart is the male atop Big Mama. The 3rd was not identified. Stay tuned to watch the progress. Look close at the first to see all 3. Ingle frog hard to see.

#frogs #frogstodon #FroggyTales for the past 5 years we have Pacific Tree forgs courting, mating and leaving their spawn in our 18" bowl. They are the descendants of tadpoles rescued from a nearby ditch. I heard their singing. Imagine my surprise to see 3 frogs in the bowl. Looks like Heart atop Big Mama. Folliw along as you watch eggs, spawn tadpoles and hopefully a few frogs make it to maturity. Cycle of life.
