A few pics from the 'hood gardens on my walk tonight. Not sure of everything but there is Oleander, Hibiscus and Bougainvillea in the mix.
This is a tough area for gardens - low rainfall and not terribly good soil. So if something is growing, especially in neglected gardens, it means it is very hardy!
I saw a lot of plants knocked around by the heat too - esp cannas and agapanthus.
Every morning I hear a new bird call (to me), since the noisy minors have reduced in numbers. It is so heart-warming.
I am going to have to find a way to identify calls.
There are loads of parrots around atm, as there are flowering bushes and trees. Both large and small parrots.
In garden news - the thyme is a burst of pink flowers, looking like she is all dressed up for the ball.
And in neighbourhood news, the Jacaradas are flowering in the main street, looking a dream. But it will be another couple of days before the tree next door bursts into bloom.
