Union reps are there to represent you and make sure the law is upheld. They can come to meetings with you can stand behind you in scary situations.
Unions have not traditionally been a part of the tech industry, but that's starting to change. People are becoming aware of companies like Microsoft and GitHub working with ICE to sell technology to imprison people in deplorable conditions.
A trade union is a trade union is affiliated with your industry, but stands apart from your employer.
They're made up of organisers and employees who get together and stand up for good working conditions.

So what does Hybridly look like? It's still a work in progress, but it's a useful training tool for people who are interested in RTC!
The benefits of Web RTC are:
- Sub-second latency
- Built-in security
- Available on 2b devices out of the box
- Runs on all major browsers
- It's easy - for users, anyway...
Our first speaker is @marcovidonis who is going to speak to us about Web RTC #FrontEndSheff
We're very happy to announce that the next #FrontEndSheff will be on Thurs 27th July and will feature:
@marcovidonis with 'Building An Open Source Hybrid Events Platform' and Cat with 'Trade Unions - This Time It's Technical'
