The term "enslave" in particular is one that I haven't yet found discussions about what to standardize replacing it with, and there still seem to be plenty of uses of it in the context of VLAN/VXLAN in #Linix.

This week I have been learning about #FRR (Free Range Routing). I have recently been working with quagga to learn and tinker with dynamic routing protocols. I found that the quagga package is not included in Debian 11 but FRR is. FRR is a fork of quagga and seems to be more up to date. I have been working with BGP and OSPF, and am happy to see that VRRP is also included. This is a great tool to learn with and am happy to have it accessible.

@ausfestivus Getting a /48 is excellent! My service gives me a /56 and the CPE dynamically hands out /59s. I have a "business" internet service I use for my home office setup, but since the /59 changes it's hard to run any public facing sevices on it. I therefore use he.net ipv6 tunnel that gives me a /48 which works fantastically! he.net ipv6 is no liked by instagram or netflix however as it's considered a "vpn". LOL.

TBH I haven't had much luck with #Ubiquiti. Their lack of vrfs is hugely disappointing. I find #FRR and #mikrotik both much bettter. #opnsense is OK but their #frr plugin lacks working #ospfv3 it seems, so I'm moving away from it.
