I had thought that the only reports of herbivory in snakes, involved coastal Agkistrodon ingesting wrack, and Erpeton reportedly feeding on submerged angiosperms. (The latter claim is impossible, and the former is experimentally attributed, to confusing olfactory cues.) However reports of frugivory in snakes are not unknown.

Elephants are thought to be one of the key dispersers of Opuntia seeds in the region - in heavily-invaded areas it's common to see piles of elephant dung which are stained purple by the fruit!
