Can anyone explain to me why you have to go to a specific place in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch to get biometrics (fingerprints & photo) for a UK visa? And not just to the local police station for example.... pretty sure they do fingerprinting there.

Flights are bloody expensive rn.
