Den Aufschlag macht die DTS-HD Master Audio Suite von 2010.

Das DTS-Tonformat und seine Ableger gibt es seit den frühen 90ern, wurde zunächst im Kino eingesetzt und hat seinen Weg in die heutige Zeit als optionales Format für DVD und als Pflichtformat der Blu-ray gefunden. Wenn man als Studio also entsprechende Scheiben standardkonform veröffentlichen will, braucht man passende Encoder. Dieser hier, direkt von der DTS Inc., enkodiert quasi alle #DTS Mono- bis Achtkanal-Formate und wandelt Rohaudio (WAV und AIFF) dahin um.

Auffällig ist für mich die leichte Glasoptik aller Bedienelemente und der 3D-Effekt bei Buttons. Damit geht das Design in Richtung #FrutigerAero, ein Begriff, den ich im letzten Jahr das erste Mal gehört habe, aber der die Ästhetik von vielen Designs von 2004 bis 2010 ganz gut trifft.

Funfact: In die Jobqueue wurde eine Zeitbombe eingebaut, somit hört der Encoder ab ca. Januar 2021 auf zu funktionieren, außer man legt selbst Hand an.

Just discovered #FrutigerAero and fell down a weirdly nostalgic rabbit hole. I could smell the soap ocean soap, taste the weird blue sparkly gel toothpaste, and remember the frustration of having a flip phone called a "Fusic" that had a headphone jack too small for any of my goddamn headphones.

In 2023 ill be manifesting the comeback of #frutigeraero

Longing for #frutigeraero #aesthetic to come back. It was my beloved and my childhood. #KDE 4 #Windows Vista and 7, and those old versions of #macos . I'm still hanging onto the #oxygen #theme on KDE.
