Anyone with #DigiRig experience want to help me diagnose a weird issue I'm seeing?
I'm trying to hook it up to my #Yaesu #FT70 with the cable directly from DigiRig.
When I try to send packets from direwolf, the PTT keys (yay!) for a split second (boo) before just cutting off, and nothing is heard over RF.
Out of curiosity, I tried using the stock BTECH #APRS cable with the UV5R, and that also doesn't appear to work, though that could easily be the cable.

My at-home repeater project is shaping up to be a monster.
Repeater is three radios. One to rx/tx from my antenna, my qrz-1. One to receive on my end (my uplink) and one to transmit on my end (my downlink), both baofengs.
Then, b/c I don't have a radio that can dual receive that isn't in the repeater assembly, I need one to receive my downlink (using an #RtlSdr), and then a radio to transmit over my up link, my #ft70.
I really need to get a base station.
I DID IT! Got my #Yaesu #FT70 RX and TX on #aprs!
Essentially, I just used #Direwolf to trigger a mosfet that allows the FT-70's mic in to connect to the audio out pin from the Pi.
I don't know if this is 100% safe for all of the components involved, but it works!
If anyone care to check my #ElectricalEngineering work, I'll put up a circuit diagram shortly.

With my #FT70, I'm able to send a signal over to its mic in line by wiring it up directly to the "output" pin of another device.
The thing is, this leaves the PTT in an on state at all times.
I've tried using a transistor and a capacitor to detect a charge on the transmission line and turn on the transistor, but this doesn't seem to work the way I'd expect.
Does anyone have an idea of how to pull the PTT low while passing an audio signal over the same line? #ElectricalEngineering #HamRadio

Progress report on #APRS with #Yaesu #FT70:
I got my wiring working one-way!
I don't have a second TRRS-TRRS cable lying around, so I can't actually test with direwolf.
But, setting these two up as a repeater demonstrates that my wiring works!
RF coming into the FT-70 is output into the QRZ-1, which VOX-es it out to its output.
Now I just need to figure out a way to pull the PTT low on the FT-70 when the QRZ-1 (or anything else) pushes audio. I imagine I need to stick a transistor there.
