The next part of my game (#ARG) is out there in the world. Super excited to see people digging into this new story. It's an #UnFiction narrative that lives in a deck of cards.
Thorpe's story sits at the edge of the #FTAAArchive universe, but it's grown very close to my heart. Though you might not have a package coming for you in the mail, you can still join the small community and enjoy the story as people open their own envelopes.
I’m so excited for the next phase of my game - I’m trying to take the storytelling in a couple different corners of the #transmedia landscape - including some mysterious playing cards and other tactile puzzle elements. I’m getting really excited about how this is evolving and couldn’t help but share a peek. #ARG #Unfiction #conspiracy #FTAAArchive

@PetePlaysTheGames - Ever think of diving into #ARG or #Unfiction games? Asking for nobody in particular… *whistles nonchalantly*

So my mind keeps ping-ponging back and forth between different game dev ideas.
I have a clear plan for a "traditional" video-based ARG like my first two seasons of #FTAAArchive. Plot arcs are plot arc'd. Script documents are started at least. I dropped a trailer and gave myself a deadline of "Spring"...
But then my mind wants me to look at doing another immersive webpage to tease a story out. #Twine captured my imagination hard and I built out a really nice framework. But the story inspiration isn't hitting yet...
AND I keep feeling like a book-based version of this whole ludic narrative is where I'm headed because physical objects are so tantalizing - something akin to House of Leaves and Griffin & Sabine. Too much reading on ergodic literature in the last few days...
I'm not looking for an answer as much as sharing my struggle. I have such a mad urge to create but not sure where to aim the brain first.

Yes, you heard me right. If you like Time Travelling, Puzzles, History, and cool VHS videos, head over to the FTAA Archive! The FTAA Archive is about a historian who loves writing about local stories, and he decided to ask the internet about these tapes! The puzzles are interesting, the story is great, and the video quality is wonderful! Thank you @TJJohn12 for making this amazing thing! Check it out at https://www.youtube.com/@ftaaarchive !
