I have a daughter & husband who took 17 years of saving for a deposit for a house but could only buy 25% the other 3/4 they pay rent on. They both work full time as teachers

My granddaughter 34 years old had to move back in with Mum because she can't afford private rent in Portsmouth.
She works 3 jobs & was recently told that she will need a deposit of £72,000 for her own property
This system is stacked against our young people
