Today my son had a #lockdown at his school. Luckily it was a false alarm but the thoughts that went through my head during that time are still haunting me.

When I picked him up he told me about how he “did what we practiced” but helping hide a kid in a locker and then got into the fetal position to “protect his vital organs”. He talked about the same way he would any other day. Like it’s just another day in science class. BECAUSE IT FUCKING IS!

I’ll just say #FuckGuns and #FuckAmerica.

Maybe don't come to the U.S. if you have other options.

It's not safe to be lost on our streets.

No one is talking enough about the fact that a 6-year-old boy shot his teacher at school, and the very next day a court overturned a ban on bump stocks!!!

Bump stocks allow a semi-automatic weapon to be fired in something resembling full-automatic mode. Automatic weapons are already illegal. What the hell is going on in this country? Ever more devastating weapons of war are being unleashed on the American public through a 50-year lobbying and propaganda campaign which has never stopped.

When unspeakable tragedies occur, like a 6-year-old shooting his teacher, instead of doing anything about it, we move in the opposite direction.

Our courts have been hijacked by Federalist Society judges who are making it even easier for civilians to be killed during peacetime.

Something has to eventually stop this madness, doesn't it?

I think most LGBT folks and LGBT allies are already in favor of strict gun laws, but this article makes that point clear.

I would also add:

- you can't be in favor of keeping children safe and be pro-gun
- you can't be anti-war and be pro-gun
- you can't be in favor of women's rights and be pro-gun
