This is a terrible approach to personal data and privacy. It is another example of a class-based, two-tier privacy system that puts poor people at risk.

For many people, two dollars is useful money. Even if Amazon were to pay more, it's still requires buying into the privacy nihilism argument that "there's no more privacy anyway".

Privacy and data protection needs to be for everyone, not just those who can pay for it.
