Also #fuel in the #USA is way too #cheap compared to the #EU & #Japan, where the same price in €¢ & ¥ is being paid per liter (!!) as in $¢ per gallon (!!!) in the USA.

I mean, if filling up a #SuperUselessVehicle is still not in the triple digits then there's no need to demand #FuelEfficiency.

Furthermore, #VehicleTax in the USA isn't based on #Displacement multiplied by #Emissions as in #Germany.

We can't have small #trucks because the #EPA #regulations say that the smaller the wheelbase the higher the #fuelEfficiency has to be. At #truck the size of the '84 #Tacoma would need to get 47mpg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azI3nqrHEXM&t=325s

Canada has the least fuel-efficient vehicles in the world.

Because of our cheap gas prices and crappy fuel efficiency standards, most Canadians are driving around vehicles much larger than they actually need.

According to one study, Indonesians on average use 8 litres per 100km of driving, which is much less efficient than in India where they consume 6 litres per 100km.
