Mmm… mauve with an orange interior - lovely! Aside from the 1970s British Leyland colours, it seemed very well screwed together and was quite a nice place to sit.

Legacy car makers (looking at you, VW, Skoda and especially Toyota) should be very afraid, as their cash cow is definitely under imminent threat.

This converted classic Mini could be seen zipping around the site perimeter across the whole show - yes, they were doing test drives! I think that was a first for electric car conversions. #FullyChargedLIVESouth

Kia could only muster photos of their upcoming EV9. On their stand was the new top trim GT variant of the EV6. Lots of test drives of EV6 were available too. #FullyChargedLIVESouth

Jeep brought along their first all-electric model, the Avenger. Bucking the usual trend with car companies’ first electric cars, this is actually their smallest car yet. #FullyChargedLIVESouth

Hyundai was doing test drives of the IONIQ5, but also the new IONIQ6. Plus they were showing off the refreshed Kona. #FullyChargedLIVESouth

GWM Ora brought along a big brother to their Funky Cat, a stylish, as-yet un-named saloon car (but known as the Lightning Cat in China). #FullyChargedLIVESouth

Ford was doing test drives of the Mustang Mach-E but only talking about the upcoming Explorer. The notable Ford though was an F-150 Lightning. This one was a special import for hire; there are no plans to sell them generally here. #FullyChargedLIVESouth
