Mmm… mauve with an orange interior - lovely! Aside from the 1970s British Leyland colours, it seemed very well screwed together and was quite a nice place to sit.
Legacy car makers (looking at you, VW, Skoda and especially Toyota) should be very afraid, as their cash cow is definitely under imminent threat.
There’s much more that I didn’t photograph, too. If you’re curious to see more, or perhaps try out the various vehicles yourself, there are now several shows per year across the globe, and I highly recommend a visit. The next one is 19th-21st May in Harrogate, UK. #fullycharged #fullychargedlive #FullyChargedLIVESouth

This converted classic Mini could be seen zipping around the site perimeter across the whole show - yes, they were doing test drives! I think that was a first for electric car conversions. #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Nissan have come up with a “half Ariya” similar to the “half Leaf” they used to show! #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Speaking of commercial vehicles, is this the first electric tipper truck? And one of JCB’s electric mini diggers, with some apparently reduced-carbon concrete blocks. #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Bonus photos! Over in the commercial vehicles zone there was a pop-up example of this modular solar canopy / battery storage / car charger system. A practical solution it would be great to see in all car parks, especially those without a great grid connection of their own. #FullyChargedLIVESouth

Alphabetically last, but not least, here’s an XPeng P7 #FullyChargedLIVESouth
The Vauxhall Astra. Just an ordinary car that everyone is familiar with. This one just happens to be electric though. #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Subaru made a brave decision to appear, with their first EV, the Solterra, despite it having received decidedly mixed reviews #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Yes, there was a Rivian pick up truck too, complete with its famed “crawl through” utility tunnel #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Polestar was another brand doing lots of test drives, of Polestar 2 cars. But pride of place on their stand west to the Polestar 3 (or rather a life size model of one - there was no interior below the window line!) #FullyChargedLIVESouth
The ultimate off-roader, the Scottish-built Munro MK_1 #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Microlino brought their wonderfully quirky bubble-car, the M-ero #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Kia could only muster photos of their upcoming EV9. On their stand was the new top trim GT variant of the EV6. Lots of test drives of EV6 were available too. #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Jeep brought along their first all-electric model, the Avenger. Bucking the usual trend with car companies’ first electric cars, this is actually their smallest car yet. #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Hyundai was doing test drives of the IONIQ5, but also the new IONIQ6. Plus they were showing off the refreshed Kona. #FullyChargedLIVESouth
GWM Ora brought along a big brother to their Funky Cat, a stylish, as-yet un-named saloon car (but known as the Lightning Cat in China). #FullyChargedLIVESouth
Ford was doing test drives of the Mustang Mach-E but only talking about the upcoming Explorer. The notable Ford though was an F-150 Lightning. This one was a special import for hire; there are no plans to sell them generally here. #FullyChargedLIVESouth
