We stop in Athens, Georgia, to visit Bethany's brother and family. This is five months after a highway collision broke her back in two places, and she's just now beginning to give up the cane.

In 1983, my wife and our dog and I took a trip from Ithaca to Athens, GA (to visit in-laws) and then on to Denver (for a graduation), Idaho (more in-laws), and finally the Oregon coast (just because). Beginning today, photos from this "1983 Road Trip" will appear here daily except Mondays and Fridays.
South Carolina was our first stop for pics.

Status report: My #LostRolls project (developing a stash of film exposed in the 1970s) is progressing, but I'm waiting on posting more until I see what I've got. Also, I'm taking a class this semester called "Epistemology and Metaphysics after Aristotle," and that's really slowing down the film processing.
Instead, beginning today, I'll be sharing a collection titled "1983 Road Trip." Digital work will continue to appear on Mondays and Fridays.

This kit is similar to mine. I still have the 35mm, 50mm, and 55mm lenses. Instead of the 28, I have the 24 (I've already posted several photos taken with it). Instead of Ferris's 105, I have the 85, which is a later and better design. (I did have the 105 for my RF Nikons. Same design, different mount.) Never was able to afford the Photomic head.
By #FullyManual I mean:
Film only
Manual aperture
Manual shutter speed
Manual focus
No electronics in the camera, except, optionally:
An M/X switch to actuate a flash unit (allowed)
A match-needle exposure meter to save the trouble of carrying one separately
It should come as no surprise that this description fits all of my film cameras, none of which even has a meter. Feel free to use the tag if it fits.

I've never connected with #ShittyCameraChallenge because I haven't owned (or used) a shitty camera since 1966, when I traded a Praktica for a Nikon S. Instead I'm going to start using a new tag, #FullyManual. It's explicitly for the sort of photographer who might otherwise race antique motorcycles or go bowhunting to shoot deer.
