One of my hacks for just got a huge : support!

In layman's terms, this means that one can be strung together with another function in a single PowerShell command, and the outputs from the first function feed directly into the second's inputs. The best part is that the whole chain of functions can operate as a , so as soon as the first item is available, it gets passed down to the next function in the chain, which begins processing that item, while the previous function is working on the next item in the queue. It's like an for data!

Of course, now I'll have to go back and apply this technique to all of the other functions I've written previously. 😈

Function Words: may be a useful tool for GM’s to roleplay different power levels among PC’s and even subtly influence players though it may be more difficult to perform at this level than many other cases of character presentation.

Actually, I think that in the are usually *better* than having them in . Not only can they not get out of date / become wrong (without causing checking failures), static type checking is much easier this way.

And yes, many of them are that would be to find by other routes. Your unit test doesn't try passing a to that you wrote that you only considered using ints with - but with hints, mypy will find that "one weird way" that a float value returned from somewhere else could get passed into the function.

Type hints in code - used well and consistently, no using "" to shut mypy up - make me 50% more productive, I think. </anecdote>

Talking about the “nervous system” in isolation from the rest of the body and its environment is like trying to figure out what is the automobile about by looking at its motor running on a stand. You need to look at where the “rubber hits the road” to really understand what’s going on.

Only “bodies can do things” not the isolated nervous systems. Of course, brains have a within the body, the same way that individual bodies (with their respective brains) have a function within a social organization.

The nervous “(sub)system” has no need to be in direct contact with the environment, but it also can’t function or even survive (is not viable) without the support of all the other body parts, some of which are and must be in direct contact with the .

According to , The whole purpose of the nervous system and cognition is the survival of the body:

“The major function of the brain is actually not to sit around and discuss things like we are doing now, but it is to make decisions - it has to decide whether to fight or run or eat …”

academia.edu/6576779/Rosen_and

Thinking about the nervous “system” in isolation is typical for thinking which separates the (management) system from the system (the plant) and does not recognize the fact that they depend on each other and should be thought of as one system.

People are “social animals” and the emergent capability and knowledge of an as a system of people are quite different from the collection of all the individual learning capabilities and knowledge of the individuals it is composed of, so it is, therefore, appropriate to treat the organization as another dynamical system.

Static type do help find - even ones that would be nasty to try to debug after hitting them in use.

But you can also use them to enforce , if you prefer that to duck typing (not built-in). A lot of Pythonistas will hold their nose at that, but it can be useful to "die loudly and early" when someone else passes the wrong to your .
