Friendly reminder for anyone who like me is a victim of gamification. Today's your last chance to win the #12in23 #FunctionalFebruary batch. I looked at #elixirlang and am happy I did; I liked the ruby-like syntax (I love #ruby and prefer it to #python as scripting language) combined with core functional concepts is really intriguing. I'll definitely keep on working with #elixir. Next month is #MechanicalMarch and I haven't decided yet, but have a tendency to look at #go #golang.

I earned the #FunctionalFebruary badge on #exercism using #clojure :clojure:
I'm not entirely convinced that this approach to learning is good; I'm basically searching for how to do every small thing individually. The 'syllabus' is a small help along the way but (unless I'm overlooking something) is insufficient to "learn" a language. The problems themselves are a good balance of "simple" and "you'll need to learn something", though.

Carving away at Exercism's #12in23 challenge with a focus on #FunctionalFebruary -- much recursion, very immutable, wow.
Completed #FunctionalFebruary for the #Exercism #12in23 challenge!
Learning #Elixir and will continue to do more exercises this month to get a better understanding of #FunctionalProgramming
Exercises I've completed so far: https://github.com/philipabbyad/exercism-elixir

Started some #Elixir on exercism.org today, as it is #FunctionalFebruary on the #12in23 challenge. So far seems interesting, it is nice for a newbie programmer like myself to taste different languages!

@mttaggart I don't have a favorite (yet), as I'm just getting started with #FunctionalProgramming - I am trying out #Elixir for #FunctionalFebruary

It's #FunctionalFebruary! Tell me about your favorite functional programming languages! Personally I have a special place in my heart for #Haskell and #Racket.

Started learning #Elixir as part of the #Exercism #12in23 challenge for #FunctionalFebruary!
Took time to understand some core concepts of what makes #functionalprogramming and sets it apart from #OOP. Completed the first couple exercises on the track

It's #FunctionalFebruary apparently so I guess I'm gonna start learning #Clojure for a bit for this #12in23 coding challenge https://exercism.org/challenges/12in23

Using #Erlang for the #FunctionalFebruary of the #12in23 #Exercism challenge felt a lot like cheating, so I gave #Gleam a try and... I must say, it is *interesting*.
It brought some memories from my (few, and long, long ago) Haskell days, but it was great going with some "Elixir intuitions" and getting away with them 8-).
I will definitely keep an eye on the #Gleam track!
